Rooted in Healing: Our Journey to a More Conscious Life

How two healing journeys inspired Baxter Hollow Farm and a life rooted in nature.

Sometimes life's greatest challenges become the very things that lead us to our greatest blessings. Our journey toward healing began long before Baxter Hollow Farm existed, and it ultimately transformed not only our health, but the way we live, grow our food, care for the Earth, and serve others.

Our story began with a search for healing.

At 48 years old, Michelle had spent much of her life struggling with chronic illness. From childhood trauma, chronic asthma, and digestive disorders to debilitating fatigue, chronic pain, numbness, anxiety, and depression, her health had steadily declined. There were times when simply getting through the day felt nearly impossible.

Determined to reclaim her health naturally, she took a sabbatical to research alternative approaches to healing. That's when she discovered Anthony William, the Medical Medium, and his books about chronic and mystery illness. What followed was nothing short of life-altering for her.

By embracing a lifestyle centered around lemon water, celery juice, the MM Heavy Metal Detox Smoothie, fresh fruits, vegetables, leafy greens, herbs, and other nourishing plant foods, Michelle began experiencing profound improvements in her well-being. Today, after 9 years and 3 months of unwavering dedication to the Medical Medium lifestyle, she feels more vibrant, joyful, and connected to life than she ever imagined possible. There’s a wisdom that comes from consuming living foods. The same divine presence that beats our hearts and breathes our lungs, has a profound ability to heal the body.

Six months after Michelle began her journey, Shannon experienced a health crisis of his own.

In late 2017, he developed an excruciating condition that left him bedridden for eight weeks. Facing the possibility of surgery, he decided to make significant changes to his diet and lifestyle, inspired by Michelle's experience and the Medical Medium information she had been studying.

Together, they embraced fresh juices, healing foods, nourishing smoothies, and a whole-food, plant-based lifestyle. In a short time, Shannon's condition improved, and he ultimately canceled his scheduled surgery after experiencing substantial relief.

For Shannon, the experience was a powerful turning point. Now, after approximately 8 years and 7 months of dedication to this lifestyle, he continues to embrace the choices that helped transform his relationship with food, health, and the natural world.

From healing ourselves to nurturing the Earth.

Our personal experiences awakened something much greater within us: a desire to live more consciously, compassionately, and in harmony with nature.

In 2018, inspired by our healing journeys, we began raising honeybees and growing much of our own food. What started as a commitment to nourishing our bodies blossomed into a deeper appreciation for the extraordinary intelligence of nature, the importance of pollinators, and the beauty of growing food with love and intention.

These values became the foundation of Baxter Hollow Farm, nestled in the beautiful Smoky Mountains of Western North Carolina.

Today, our farm reflects our belief that the choices we make each day matter. From tending our gardens and caring for our honeybees to creating botanical products and thoughtfully inspired clothing, everything we do is rooted in our love for nature and a desire to contribute something positive to the world.

Our journey has also inspired Shannon's work as a licensed general contractor and owner of WNC Mountain Builders. Through his philosophy of Conscious Construction, he is committed to creating beautiful, thoughtfully built homes that prioritize healthier indoor environments, lower-toxin materials, and mindful building practices.

A life transformed by gratitude and compassion.

Looking back, we realize that our greatest challenges helped guide us toward a life filled with deeper purpose, gratitude, and connection.

We are profoundly grateful to Anthony William, Spirit of Compassion, and the Medical Medium community for this information, encouragement, and hope that have played such meaningful roles in our personal journeys.

Our healing is an ongoing journey, but our lives have been forever changed.

We share our story not because we have all the answers, but because we know what it feels like to struggle, to search for hope, and to discover a new way forward.

Our greatest wish is to inspire others to reconnect with nature, nourish themselves with love, and recognize the beautiful possibilities that can unfold when we begin making more conscious choices.

Baxter Hollow Farm is more than a farm or a business. It's an expression of our healing, our gratitude, and our love for this beautiful Earth.

And we're so grateful you're here to share this journey with us.

With love, light, and gratitude,

Michelle & ShannonBaxter Hollow Farm

Our experiences are personal stories, not medical advice. We encourage everyone to work with qualified healthcare professionals when making decisions about medical conditions, treatments, or surgery.
