Sourwood Honey
Sourwood honey is prized by connoisseurs and honey purists worldwide. It has earned international recognition at prestigious honey competitions, and is priced by honey enthusiasts for its distinctive flavor. Sourwood is very aromatic, with a light, bright, and very sweet honey flavor. This particular honey is in short supply because the blossoms of the Sourwood tree, also called the Sour gum, Sorrel tree, or Lily-of-the-Valley tree, have a short blooming season. The Sourwood tree is found predominantly in the Appalachian Mountains of Western North Carolina. We are graced with an abundance of Sourwood trees on our 10-acre farm.
This honey is wild, raw, lightly filtered, untreated, never heated, and unpasteurized.
